Summer camp theme
Sightseeing and volunteering at Rotary summer camp for 60 kids from orphanages and large poor families. You can find many photos from previous years online

The camp Rotary Vasara is being organized more than 10 years and is loaded with many unique and creative experiences for the kids in need. 60 kids (30 boys and 30 girls), aged 8-12 years, are selected from orphanages and large poor families for an enriching summer adventure. The camp is run by volunteers from Vilnius International Rotary, Rotaract & Interact Clubs, supported by professional teachers and artists.
There are 4 teams in the camp, each led by 3-4 volunteer leaders – senior team leader, 2 junior team leaders and 1 inbound exchange student – team leader.
We already had volunteers from Spain, Austria, Slovakia, USA, Taiwan, Scotland, Egypt
volunteering at our camp. For 2019 we seek 4 volunteers from around the world.
Program in brief
- Upon arrival on July 18th 2019, stay with a host family, evening dinner and sightseeing of Vilnius, capital of Lithuania
- July 19-20th, 2019 – weekend with Vilnius International Rotary Club members (might be kayaking, cycling or sightseeing Vilnius surroundings or visiting other Lithuanian cities)
- Arrival at summer camp facilities in the late evening of July 21th, 2019, teambuilding with other camp volunteers
- July 21-27th, 2019 – volunteering at the camp with loads of activities (last year program attached, new will be distributed to participants)
- July 28-30rd, 2019– stay at the host family, sightseeing of Vilnius & Trakai island castle and departure
Camp fee:
EUR 270 plus your travel expenses & insurance to/from Vilnius. Full board and
kayaking/bicycling or other equipment rent included, extra cost – your personal
expenses.
Fee payable by a bank transfer to Vilnius International Rotary Club account (upon
confirmation of your placement).
