BASRAN Baltic Sea RYLA 2025 i Roskilde, 7.-10. august 2025
 

Er du mellem 18 og 30 år med interesse for miljøet, enten fra den naturvidenskabelige, samfundsmæssige eller juridiske synsvinkel, kan du efter aftale med en lokal Rotary Klub søge om deltagelse i BASRAN Baltic Sea RYLA 2025. Du skal være bosiddende i Rotary Distrikt 1461, 1470 eller 1480 (se kortet på forsiden).

The preparations for the next RYLA are well underway. It will be arranged by Roskilde Østre Rotaryklub, under the leadership of head of International Committee Henrik Svanholm.

Accommodations will be at Roskilde Danhostel, Vindeboder 7, DK-4000 Roskilde www.roskildedanhostel.dk, and the training will take place among other places like at Roskilde University, in kayaks in Roskilde Fjord and Roskilde Cathedral. Apart from environmental issues, a visit to the Viking Museum, music and culture will also be on the program.

 

Arrival in Roskilde between 2 and 5 p.m. Afternoon brunch and registration.
Evening: Joint dinner with presentation and division into teams. Initial team building exercises.

Morning: Students are welcomed by the mayor of Roskilde Municipality and Roskilde Bishop. Visit and tour of Roskilde Cathedral.
Afternoon after lunch: Aqua-info on Roskilde Fjord with nature guide and experts from Roskilde University.
Evening: Team building and cooking in the open air - cozy evening at Espelundgård with members of Roskilde Østre Rotary Club.

Morning/afternoon: Presentations and team building exercises - excursion on the fjord - canoeing/kayaking -   swimming and water quality exercises.
Lunch is taken after a short excursion on the sea, but the exciting place is a secret for now...
Evening: Festive dinner and social gathering, presentation of completed team building tasks/performance.

Morning: Rounding off and evaluation at the BASRAN Baltic Sea RYLA 2025 seminar.
Joint lunch, then closing.

Two participants between 18 and 30 years old from each country around the Baltic Sea. In addition, 5 additional Danish participants will be invited (1 from each district in Denmark). We expect 4 leaders from the BASRAN management or similar??. We would recommend that participants with a special educational or professional interest in environmental issues and aquaculture receive special preference in the event as there is a large demand for participation in BASRAN RYLA 2025 in Roskilde.

 

Our point here is that we would like the individual participants to establish ties across national borders through this RYLA and so that they in the long run can make a greater effort to improve environmental quality and living conditions for animals/biodiversity and people in and around the Baltic Sea. Preferably graduates or students from science faculties.
