Insurance for Youth Exchange Students - Long Term

It is mandatory for all exchange students coming to Denmark to have insurance.

Rotary Denmark has arranged for insurance to supplement the national Danish Health Care program. This makes insurance less expensive than purchasing insurance in the student's home country.

The Europæiske ERV insurance fully complies with Rotary International requirements (RCOP 41.070.12).

Students from the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand are expected to bring their own insurance but are welcome to purchase the Danish.

Students from other countries are expected to buy this Danish insurance.

Rotary Denmark Youth Exchange orders the insurance and sends it to the student's email address. The student receives an Insurance policy and a receipt, which means that Rotary has paid initially. You can download a card for printing at the link below. On Introcamp, you will get a plastic card to carry with you.

When the student arrives in Denmark, he/she has to pay the cost of the insurance, which will be invoiced to the student with a copy to the club counsellor. The student can bring cash or arrange other means of payment with the club counsellor. The 5.400 DKK (November 2024) must be paid in DKK, so please allow for exchange fees if you bring other currency or pay by wire.
